This is a project that I completed when I was attending NDSU a few years ago.

The reason swimming was chosen as the subject was because I was on the swim team all through grade, junior high and high school. It was such a big part of my life that I wanted to some how commemorate it. In my eyes it is the greatest sport there ever has been.

This was filmed at the 2005 Minnesota Section 7A Girl's Regional Meet in Grand Rapids, MN, the pool at NDSU and Lake Superior along the North Shore.

Please feel free to leave any comments or questions.

Enjoy

  • Loved this! I wish more people understood what we go through as a team and as individuals. Swimming is a tough sport that can give you the satisfaction of doing your best! And we all know that when the world floods, the swimmers will rule the planet :) (oh and i am currently a grand tapids varsity swimmer)

  • @greeny7470 Thanks for the comment! Swimming is the best! What year are you in school? Any specialty events? I used to be a manager for the Eveleth-Gilbert girl's team and I swam for the boys. I graduated in 2003 and missed swimming in your new pool by a year. :( I used to know many swimmers from GR but slowly it has been too many year's since graduation to know any of them now. Have a great New Year and keep on swimming!! :)

  • as a swimmer, i feel this deffinetly captures what it's really like to be a swimmer. swimming has become part of me, it helped me through my tough times.

i too am a swimmer from minnesota XD

  • @mollmoll1423 Thank you for commenting! Swimming really is the greatest...a good outlet, and something you can do your whole life. I swim at the Minnesota Masters swim meets, competitive meets for those still interested in swimming after high school. Keep up the swimming!! :)

  • Thats my school. Swimming is the greatest experience i have ever had. I am an intense training varsity swimmer in 7th grade with the full desire and capacity to win. Swimming offers the drive to do exactly that. This video shows the exact truth. Great Video.

  • @davidcfitch Thanks for the comment! Swimming definitely is a great sport, everyone gets to compete. It's a race against yourself as well as others...you're from Grand Rapids? I graduated from Eveleth-Gilbert in '03...keep it up!! :)
