Bo was a Moluccan Cockatoo left to die in an unheated storage room at a pet shop. They refused him medical attention. A friend and myself went on a rescue mission and got him out. Sadly a life of neglect and abuse had already taken it's toll. For his story you can visit www.BoBosPlayhouse.com (abridged version) or www.SecondChanceBirds.com (full version but must be a member).

  • aw can i adopt him i want to start having second hand birds

  • @EAONG00 had you watched the video to the end you'd know that he died.

  • 5 years today ... I said see you later for it will never be good-bye as long as my heart beats. I love and miss you baby boy.

  • @SecondChanceBirds THIS is why I now hate the bird industry! I use to be a breeder until I realized what heartless humans do to them. My cockatoo is a rescue. She was kept outside in a cage by herself in Oregon. She was so emaciated that I had to hand feed her back to a normal weight. She did not receive enough calories to endure the harsh temps outside. My BFF was an amazon that I had for over 20+yrs. His previous owner also had him over 20yrs.He passed a year ago.My heart will NEVER be the same.

  • @luv4parrots I'm glad you no longer breed birds. There are not enough humans who understand their needs, top that off w/ their very long life spans when not abused and they are difficult to provide for, for life.

  • I miss you Bo and with the anniversary of your passing quickly approaching ... I can't believe it's been 5 years for I miss you like it was yesterday. Please keep a gentle wing of protection over the Birds of Troy until they can be saved. The suffering MUST stop. It does make me gratful that I had 8 months to love you unlike those that died in Troy.

    Love you always,

    'Mom'

  • @PIYUSHGOD yes, many, many times parrots are abused. If they are not abused the life of living as a solitary creature often does damage to them. We must remember that humans are not the only ones who form lifetime bonds, family structure and need social interaction w/ those of their kind. Hand raised parrots are often confused for they are imprinted on humans but are not human. When maturity kicks in and nature tells them it's time to leave the family (hand feeder) they are stuck and strike out

Only if the world has more people like you and understand birds better. RIP Bo u were beautiful with feathers or without u are beautiful, RIP.

  • @SecondChanceBirds AMEN sista! I wish more people understood that! Btw.....I lost it when I heard the song that you put to your video. As I said before, my BFF was an amazon that I had for over 20+ years. It was a year ago the day after Christmas, that he passed. He took a HUGE piece of my heart and soul with him to the other side. The lessons he taught and the love that he gave me, will FOREVER be a part of who I am today. He was such an incredible life force in my life! Blessings to you! KB

  • May Bo/Bobo remember the BEST 8 months of his life with YOU & thank you for sharing your story however painful it must have been... Bo, Troy birds ect... stories will HELP to make a difference for these beautiful feathered, angels.
