Aguilar Elementary - Creative Story Writing

To inspire and motivate her students to write, this teacher called upon the help of a writer of amazing caliber that would create the desire in students to be creative. By exposing students to two-time Caldecott award winning author Chris Van Allsburg, students witnessed the power of story writing. Students learned how to create a setting, characters, and plot. They published and sent their stories to Van Allsburg who read and commented on them.
