Painting by Armando Goedgedrag
Music by Datapanik(Michael Lampe)
Inspired by Greg Peterson(Aruba Birdlife Conservation)

On February 4th, 2011 Aruba Birdlife Conservation (ABC) started a campaign to get the Shoco nominated as national bird of Aruba. ABC 'proclaimed' 2012 The Year of the Shoco, The Year of Wisdom. We hope that this year the Shoco will be nominated as such, that different environmental and nature protection and conservation laws will be enacted. That the new government department named 'Directie Natuur en Milieu' will be established in the first half of 2012. That areas such as the reef islands in the San Nicolas Bay Area, Spanish Lagoon, Bubaliplas, mangrove areas, dunes and salinjas will be declared part of the National Park of Aruba.

This painting was my gift to the Minister Plenipotentiary of Aruba, at the 'Arubahuis' in The Hague, Mr Edwin Abath.

The song (Inner state) of this speedpainting "The Shocos" is from the album Grand Cylinder, click below if you want to purchase this amazing unique album!
