hi i have been brewing beer for a long time and all my brews only took 1 week to ferment ,i did not buy a kit ,i got a fermenter like yours and had no problems with it ,you should use sodium metabisulphite to sterilizer it. and rinse out after 30 min. and i used the bottles i bought my beer in and just washed them out and sterilize them and bought a bottle capper. i have now gone all the way and got a keg set up. i make coopers mexican cerveza and tooheys dry lager ,my 2 favouretes

I probably would have bought things differently also. You probably need to check your seal. Coopers makes some good beer!

This guy needs a slap,, what a prick.
Food grade plastic means nothing to do with thickness of plastic, its to do with the chemicals used to make it you dumb ass so it dont contaminate the beer.

you keep saying 'everyone else on youtube', everyone else on you tube', EVERYONE else on you tube does it right apart from you.

Of course you could have the fermenter and bottles for less than the Cooper's micro brew kit. $60 for your bottles, $20 for fermenter and lid, $10 for a hydrometer, $5 for a spoon, airlock, sugar, priming tablets, instructions and DVD... To me it adds up to what you payed for the micro brew kit. It's too bad you got a defective package. Contact them and politely address your concerns regarding the dented bottles. The fact that your airlock is not moving doesn't mean your brew is dead.

Did you contact me and ask for some help? I probably could have saved you a lot of frustration. Their plastic bottles are made of the same plastic as the brown bottles I've been using for years. You can trust them. What hydrometer reading have you been getting and when?

I've never read or watched a beer critique wherein not ONE adjective was used to describe the brew. Why was he dipping his face in the beer like that?

First don't worry so much about the bubbling. If you did everything correctly, then it's probably fermenting. Sometimes you don't get a lot of bubbles. You need a hydrometer to know for sure. If you smell it, then It's probably working.

I suggest you give all your beers at least two weeks in the fermenter. But you really need a hydrometer and use it properly to know for sure if fermentation is complete.

BTW. I can see a Krausen ring around your frementer. Thats a good sign.

Relax.
