195477: Proof that you idiots don't know shit about Rock N' Roll. Erline Harris was doing Rock N Roll before Elvis and Bill. Go listen to Rock N' Roll Blues 1949, or Jump And Shout 1950. Rock N Roll has been in the Black Community for many moons. Only because it got mainstream in the early 50s when white performers started doing it doesn't mean shit.

I don;t think you know what your talking about. Rock N Roll is a mixture. Obviously I'm typing to a fucking wall.

What you are saying is the same as me saying, Grunge hasn't been in any community since 1991 when Nirvana came out. Thats bullshit. I bet you don't know Erline Harris or Wild Bill Moore. Don't get me wrong I like Elvis.

@GlamMetalSucks
What your NOT doing is reading what I am actually saying.
There are many songs pre mid 50s that sounded similar to songs{in style} to those of the mid 50s.
That does not class them as Rock and Roll,what it does is put them in another class ie.Rockabilly,swing, blues whatever.
Rock and Roll,as you say IS a mixture-a mixture of blues,gospel and country.Blues was about before so was country and so was gospel-it was only when they were mixed that they became Rock and Roll.

Early rock 'n roll was often called rockabilly by radio dj's. Perkins, Presley, Vincent--all were called rockabilly, a combination of rock and hillbilly, which was what country music was sometimes called then. A lot of white southern rockers wewre country boys at heart who incorporated what wasa called race music into their style of playing. In music everybody borrows.
