I think you're confusing "dunkel" with "schwarzbier" which literally means "black beer". Dunkel just means "dark" (-er than usual). For example a darker hefeweizen is a dunkelweizen.
The problem with the Bavarian Purity Law is a lot of the German beers wind up tasting the same by style (well, pretty similar at least).
@ChadzBeerReviews well i had a schwarzbier on sturday and thats was much darker but for a dunkel this wasnt to dark... i get what your saying about there beer tasting similar... this had that as well, but that said it was pretty good... i think the abv was like 5% i said it in the video.

Hi,
good review!
German Oktoberfest beers aren't typically dark or amber colored, they're usually light colored!
I agree, it's an "everyday beer" something you drink while sitting in a beer garden.
It's a typical bavarian dunkel beer, some may be a little darker but this is how they are.
The Beer is from Neumarkt/Bavaria
btw. the glassware was perfect, a mug or a lager glass will do for all of the beers in the mail.
