I just saw this short film today as part of the EcoFocus Film Festival in Athens, Georgia. Thank you for making this video full of feelings, raw truth, and in touch with emotions. I hope that the right people see this video (i.e. someone that would hit an animal), and that it sparks a moment of change and reflection. The pain is real, the impact much greater than one, and the ability to change is immense.

Yep. Some people around this region even hit them for fun. I stopped to move her not realizing she was already hit. It must have happened within a few minutes before I stopped

That was hard to watch, I don't see many turtles on the road in Hamilton, Canada but I saved about 3 or 4 in my life. I have a 3 toed box turtle. I have loved turtles since I was a kid. So whoever hit it just kept going??

@Slammediadotca I'm sure. The same think happened last week. I stopped for what I thought was a healthy turtle on the verge of annihilation but found the turtle had lost an arm and lost function of here shell closure.

i got out of my car to save a mating couple on the road just when i got out they were smashed on top of each other :(

oh my god. i pray that this will make people pay a little more attention. i think some people feel ok about hitting animals because they think they will die right away, but i hope this video will show them that sometimes they suffer. this just made me cry.

Glad she didn't die in vain. Now because of her, so many people will be on the lookout for turtles. Thank you for filming her last moments. May she rest in peace.

as a turtle lover, this was difficult for me to watch. you can see the pain in this turtles eyes. so sad. :( i hope theres a turtle heaven somewhere out there bc she definently deserves to be there. thanks for caring. :)

Great video !!! I have seen this senario played out so many thousands of times in my life its horrible i'm almost hardened to it now.
