Tony Wheeler, one of the founders of Lonely Planet visits the tourist capital of New Zealand's North Island, Rotorua. Here, you can't escape the rich Maori culture or the famous thermal mud pools and hot springs. If you're feeling adventurous, get very wet white-water rafting or try out New Zealand's new craze - zorbing!

Look, it's not a big deal but you are mistaken. Hackett is credited with popularizing the sport, not inventing it, which was done many years earlier. Just google bungee jumping.

Mr. Tony, I respect you so much and love LonelyPlanet, but claiming bungee as a NZ invention is either poor research or (gasp) homerism.
