  • The JD 35 ft header has a weak spot on the left end. there is a brace that runs at an angle across the bottom that will snap into. It's also really bad about breaking the cutter bar on the same end. just too damn wide.

  • @hogzilla22 We've been running 635 heads since 2005. All problems with the 635s were taken care of in 2007, the year these heads were new. After 4 years of running them I wouldn't be afraid to run them 10 more.

  • The Hydraflex heads are great. Have a 630. Just got the new 9670 STS yesterday. :D

Even had to cut beans in the mud and bump the head up over standing water. The head floats great. Don't recommend doing that though.

  • You'll like it. This is our second rotor and we love them for corn and soybeans. Wheat is iffy at times but that's not our concentration.

  • were is that?

  • North East South Dakota

  • @redneckfarmer ours is a 2008 and we've a lot of trouble out of it. i know several other farmers around us that have had the same trouble.

  • ok.

  • what is the name of that song?

  • what crew is that?

  • And I've bent the chain adjuster brackets/hardware and swelled out the tin work on the elevator more than once. LOL

  • I'm sure we will. Isn't our first STS, though. We've run several 50 and 60 series machines.

Sure kicks the butt out of the conventionals, that is for sure. Particularly in beans. Slugs don't slow you down or squeal belts. LOL

Wish this one had the high capacity clean grain elevator, though. I can run so much corn through the machine to bend stuff, even at 5.5 mph in 200+bu/ac corn w/ 8 row corn head.
