Cre8 Salon & Spa beats "Jerseylicious"

November 8, 2011 -- Fort Myers, FL -- On Sunday, November 6, Cre8 Salon & Spa in Cape Coral made history as their entire team of stylists and professionals broke the Guinness World Record, previously held by Jerseylicious, for the most consecutive haircuts by a team in 8 hours. The record number of haircuts to beat was 246. Hair Stylists at Cre8 gave a total of 307 haircuts, but 294 was the number that qualified, making that the new world record. An Official Guinness World Record judge from London, Phillip Robertson, was on site for the event and presented Cre8 Salon & Spa with an official framed Guinness World Record certification. Each client also received an official certificate of participation in the Guinness World Record Cre8 Cut-a-thon Challenge. The salon charged only $8 for cuts, with all of the proceeds -- $4,500 - donated to the Florida Chapter of the ALS Association in honor of a Cre8 client who suffers from ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease.
