  • it should be around 13 pounds depending on your spring

  • @xXMuRd3rMuLiSh4Xx

    Umm...the CPC Blue/White sec spring, wire dia@ .220. BRP beige @.207".

CPC has 4 lbs increments in the minimum "next" hole calibration.

14 lbs acceleration is stronger however backshift suffers.

18 lbs is great for all around, hard acceleration, great backshift in snow and high track speed when breaking trail.

22 lbs is great for bottom end and midrange acceleration however the top end mph is slow and the engine goes off into overrev.

  • 75 lbs torque is on TRA-2 and 3 primary clutch.

89 lbs torque on TRA 5 and 7 primary clutch

    ...so says brp shop manuals

    joey

  • The formula secondary you can adjust by the 3 setscrews on the front of the secondary to where you install the belt opening tool.

The really old formula secondary, yes then its changing the shim pack thickness inside the secondary. To raise the belt, remove shims. To lower the belt, increase shim thickness.

  • I have an 02 mxz 700 and it always blows belts. It starts off by tearing all the wire out from one side of the belt till it eventually blows apart. Any ideas of what it could be?

  • I must have put my secondary back together wrong...i can twist mine with ease...its like there is no pretension

  • did you really say 75 foot pounds on the primary bolt?

  • now how about changing the belt deflection on older sled do you have to take out shims?
