I think Sonic and Sally are perfect for each other. Even through their arguments, they come back to each other with love and open hearts. I think there aren't many Sonic/Sally fans out there, so this is for you/us!

@dixon3chicks Actually... Archie Sonic the Hedgehog Issue #0 (Sally's first appearance) is February 1993.

Amy's first game appearance: Sonic CD, which came out Sept. 23 1993 in Japan. However, it is true that Amy came first in that she was in an obscure Japanese promotional manga that came out a year before.

Personally, I think Amy needs to be written off. Sally's way deeper a character in the comics, and romance needs to stay out of the games. Amy doesn't contribute anything else either.

@MegaEchoWolf I dont' know if people think Sonic likes her, since he still pretty much ignores her and gets annoyed with her in Sonic X and the games. But I do think some people think that he will EVENTUALLY like her since she likes him. And that simply doesn't always happen. Not in games, or shows, not in real life. We will just have to see though where Japan decides to take it. I do hope they stay true to the characters.

@dixon3chicks -I know your not defending Sonamy, but just to be clear, there never was a Sonamy. As in, Amy has a crush on Sonic, but Sonic never had a crush on her. So there was never an established romantic relationship. Not in the games, and not in the Archie comics as far as I know at least. As for who was introduced first, I don't know my history but it looks like DocRavage covered that. Just clarifying that there isn't always a coorolation between time of introduction

Ah that makes some sense actually. I don't know much about the Japan side of things. But the Gamecube games didn't have to do with the comics either..(which made me a little bummed) so I guess it's all just an Alternative Universe. I am way behind on my comic collection, but I was flipping through one of the newest ones I I have and people were saying in the letters part how the comic was trying to cram everything from the games and show in, so they are trying to

well sally was never introduced in japan until sonic ega collection,so when they made sonic X they had to go by amy thats why shes not in sonic X. at least they didn't use a human like elise or sarah.
