Chinese knock off of a Cisco VoIP conference phone. One unit is the real deal and works well. The other is an eBay "special" that looks very much like the real thing. These are 7936 model units that are being compared. "Chisco" is the term being used for Chinese made knock offs of real Cisco equipment. Please buy from reputable sellers and ensure you get the real deal. Scary part is that the fake one does lod and run the IOS, and looks very much like the real one. Buyer beware.
@hmjgriffon Well in this case the knockoff took 4 hours of reprogramming in order to function. The real deal only a few minutes of configuration, so it cost about the same as the real thing. When time is money, and if it doesn't get replaced in a couple of years, it is still better to buy the real thing. (Why I own a W123 Mercedes and carry a HK P7, both over 30 years old and still work.) No "Chisco" phones for me.

why not buy the knock off? tech stuff becomes obsolete in a couple of years anyways, as long as the bitch lasts long enough.
