anyone who has been owned by female rats knows how hyper they usually are. they never have time to sit still for anything. so i was surprised when kaylee started to fall asleep in my lap.

@Baller2710 it is your choice. my personal preference is girls but boys have good qualities too. try joining a forum and asking questions. there is not enough room to tell you everything i would want to say. goosemoose has a good rat forum.

i have 2 female pet rats are and there coming up 9 months and at first they was very hyper but now they fall a sleep on the couch. i try to bring them out as much as possible. i have trained them to spin, come to there name. when i show people my rats they think there dirty animals when infact there really clean i am getting a cat next summer i hope they get along .......

i youst to have a rat hard y reall pet rat named amber but she died of old age she was six she was old for a rat

@hannahishkindaperson , hope you'll get a vVERY young kitten and let her or him get used to the odor of your rat pets. Play with them together rubbing/each each pet so they get the message all are "family" .

my rats are like this as well but i recently got a kitten and my rats seem egar to met the kitten they seem quite hyper. i put the kitten and the rats on the sofa and the rats chased the kittens tail but i keep on picking up the rats in chase the kitten hurts i just cant seem to be able to trust them together.has any one got any good ways in intereducing rats to a kitten.
