Nice examples.
I often wonder about simple and effective methods of self-defense (for life-threatening situations).
One thing I wonder about: Would it be possible to train (for strength and technique) to enable you to simply grab and crush someone's larynx--so they would be immediately disabled, and quite likely die as well?
As we age the possibility for "atheletic" methods of self-defense decrease. Practical ways are needed that don't necessarily involve whole-body power.
