Tribute to Peter Pace

Pace, son of an Italian immigrant, visited his father's home town of Noci in 2005, and was told by a cousin "all the sacrifices of your father and your grandparents are being redeemed by you." Pace", in Italian, translates to Peace. This 2007 video bids farewell to Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

I have never seen someone care more about his people than Gen. Pace. I am a midshipman (nothing in the scheme of things in the Navy/ Marines) and met him briefly. 7 month later he recalled my full name and our last conversation. I am not even really important but he still cared about me that much. He is an amazing leader and the best officer I have ever encountered, Period.
