  • @marcspaz sounds like an awesome build...good luck with it Marc!! I parted ways with my stock block in April of this year....I ended up going with the 4.6 Aluminator Shortblock....and added cams and the JPC Cast Intake...so I am extremely drained on funds:) happy birthday, anniversary and merry christmas to me for the next decade:)

look forward to seeing you at the track again!

  • @marcspaz

Great choice! I hear you about money being tight, the DOW keeps going up but the economy still sucks... Sales are way way down at my company. Hopefully it will bounce back soon. Well, once you're all finished with your stang, I'm sure you will be more than happy with it. Good luck with your build man!

  • I ended up using the Boss 302 block from Ford Racing, with a Kellogg crank, Manley rods, and Diamond pistons. I don't know what the rings are, they came with the pistons. I am also using a mix of Ford Racing and ARP hardware.. It will be about mid-july before I am done putting the car together. I still need a PI 3800 RPM stall, a twin pump fuel system, and some 60# injectors. Money has been tight. Been working on this build for months

  • Sorry, I just read in one of your comments that you went with a 5L engine. Is it the new coyote or a crate engine?

    Thanks

  • @marcspaz

It would nice if you could throw a new 4V 5.0L V8 or even better...The '11 GT500 aluminum block 550 HP motor in your stang. I know both of these motors would cost a fortune I presume. Especially the shelby engine. What have you decided or already went with?

  • @marcspaz sounds good cant wait.

  • @BLACKLACDTS - I started the build already. I gave some thought to the stroked 5.4, but my car already weighs 3900 lbs with me in it. I am keeping the car 100% stock interior... not gutting to a shell to make it go faster. So I am trying to stay away from the extra weight of the iron block vs. AL. the projected Lbs per HP wasn't a good arguement for the 5.4, so I went 5.0. I will have some fresh videos up once the car is complete. Should be about the end of May, or the start of June.

  • @marcspaz should be a all motor beast! hope you post videos when its done.if you havent all ready started the build did you consider maybe a 5.4 then stroke it and do those mods to it with the extra cubes?

  • @BLACKLACDTS .... Oh yea. It going to be a 302, 11.0:1 compression, I am installing the GT500 twin pumps aand 60 lbs injectors. Most likely I will also be adding the FRPP upper intake and the JDM 110mm CAI too.

  • @marcspaz you goin to go for 302 cubes from the new motor? a 500rwhp 3 valve all motor 4.6 is a big deal.
