The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and PUMA were joined today in Nairobi Kenya by the Cameroon national football team, including the team captain Samuel Etoo, to announce a strategic partnership for 2010 to support biodiversity initiatives worldwide including the launch of the new Africa Unity Kit the worlds first continental football kit designed to be worn by the 12 African football national teams that PUMA sponsors.

The International Year of Biodiversity (IYB) is a global campaign launched by the United Nations for 2010 to help raise awareness of the importance of biodiversity and to encourage worldwide action to protect flora, fauna and the habitats in which they are found.

The Africa Unity Kit is also the first international playing kit ever to be shared by 12 national teams across a continent. With all eyes on Africa in 2010 for the Orange Cup of Africa- Nations™ in Angola in January and the first World Cup™ to be played in South Africa the Africa Unity Kit makes a compelling global statement. By supporting the Africa Unity Kit, African teams are not only uniting as a powerful force in world football, but also raising awareness of the importance of environmental issues. A portion of the proceeds from sales of replica fanwear for the Unity Kits will help fund biodiversity programs worldwide

  • Aww man he got dirt all over his shorts! literally!

  • I bought this kit, soo comfortable and nicest kit ever

  • Samuel Eto'o doesnt NEED to learn English theres no reason for him to learn it... And Drogba has been playing in an English team for a few years of course he knows english, Eto'o on the other hand has spent his entire career in Spain until the move to Inter which is why hes fluent in spanish and knows italian...then he has what he picked up in his childhood, which is most likely french.

  • @SuperKingue

The fact that he speaks two or more languages as it is, you know if he lives in Cameroon? If he does then no kidding he speaks french.

  • it wonders me how you Eto'o comes from a bilingual country yet he cannot speak English and had never made an effort to do that yet he speaks languages from other countries like Spanish and Italian.Look at Drogba,he speaks english so well that if he comes to Cameroon,he will fit in very well.what a disgrace and to know that most of Eto'o's supporters are English speaking.Eto'o pls exercise a little effort, make us proud and learn English

  • @JogaBonitofootball same here
