A short flowing yoga sequence focusing on the hips and groin, designed for pregnant women and particularly beneficial for those in the third trimester (performed by a 40 week pregnant yoga teacher).
Please remember the hormone 'relaxin' is more prevalent in the body during pregnancy which allows for greater flexibility however along with this the possibility of over-stretching and injury - so listen to your body and move carefully!
Namaste
Back bends also encourage a stretch through the front half of the body, and stretching the stomach muscles is not advisable (as it can cause small tears which are very difficult to heal post partum).

Hi Black Lotus. Gentle arching back is ok (ie during bidalasna / cat cow), however during standing poses and in your general posture you should be particulalry careful about arching in the lower spine as this can exacerbate lordosis (excess curvature of the spine common in pregnancy - where both the backside and chest stick out).
