The Hunger Games Lose Danny Elfman! Hey everyone, thanks for tuning back into clevver movies, Im Tatiana carrier with the latest from The Hunger Games and the composer who just exited the highly anticipated flick!

According to our friends at Variety, Composer Danny Elfman is leaving Lionsgate's "The Hunger Games" because of scheduling conflicts...not to worry, the flick will NOT be score-less...elfman has been replaced by James Newton Howard.

Back in July Lionsgate, that Elfman and T Bone Burnett would collarorate on the score with Burnett also serving as the film's executive music producer. Burnett is continuing his full involvement in "Hunger Games," as previously announced minus Elfman at his side.

SO whats got elfman all tied up? Well he is currently completing work on Sony's "Men in Black III" and Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows" for Warner Bros.

The Hunger Games is directed by Gary Ross and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson and will released on March 23rd of next year! OMG guys calm down! Danny Elfman is an amazing composer, but honestly, he doesn't really know how to craft a score for a serious movie, like the Hunger Games! If you need an example of James Newton Howard's work, look up I Am Legend or The Dark Knight!

@Kamehameha941 Whatever producer drops Elfman doesn't deserve him. Best thing for a producer to do with Elfman is humbly allow him to do whatever he wants and make the movie better for it. All too often, it seems they're chasing dollar signs, not really knowing the way to do that is to hire geniuses like Elfman and get out of their way.

Thank goodness. Danny Elfman is really the wrong composer for the Hunger Games movie(s), given that the third/last film will basically be an epic war movie.
