  • it started as a standard 5 string banjo from a pawn shop.

  • may i ask if you modified that yourself?

  • ya -- i used autoharp tuners for the sympathetics.

  • hey man, that's excellent. Is that a standard banjo tuning or have you modified it?

  • the tuning is closer to a sarod that a banjo -- it has 21 strings but only 4 are fretted.

  • Incredible. Wow. I started out just searching for an old Navy friend who had the same name and found this video. I've never seen anything like this (kind of like a cross between Eddie Van Halen and Segovia? Sort of? With a little Seasick Steve for flavor?) Cool stuff anyways.
