The "Häfele Functionality" Belt Sander Drag Racer raced for the first time at the BSRA National Championships at AWFS in Las Vegas July 2007. This was a first time effort for racer builder and Häfele America Co's Training Coordinator Scott Markwood. The event was presented by Accuride International Inc, the premiere manufacturer of drawer slides in North America. The video is a montage of video clips and photos, and includes the spectacular derailment "Häfele Functionality" racer and the catch of the century by Häfele America's Daniel Tripp and Accuride's Tony Costanti. The "Häfele Functionality" racer took second place just 9/100ths of a second behind first place!
