Halo 3_ ODST Live Action Trailer

In 2009 I was approached by Humanworld LLC. to write a song for the trailer of the new game that was to be introduced in September of that year. They wanted an "Obscure" language and Welsh seemed to be what they were looking for.
We used the tune from a contemporary Welsh song called "Lament" by the singer-songwriting group "Light of Aiden" gave it a more martial beat and I provided the words based on the Halo mythos. The words are:
Gafflwn Dihenydd
O'r fuddugol yn wirriol sydd
Ni fydd neb yn ein drechu
Falch ydy ni i drochu
Traed o flaen i'r Annwn
Mewn y gwybodaeth
Fe godwn ni.
We cheat death from his right as the victor. None can defeat us, we are proud to jump feet first into Annwn in the knowledge that we will rise.
"Annwn" is the Welsh otherworld where all must go at death. Only to rise again to a new life.
