This was the best game on Xbox in my opinion. Its a damn shame it got crap reviews and half of everyone hated it, cos a sequal would make my year and its never going to happen.

This is an amazing game, despite a few parts where it felt clunky (the Anti-T'Lan laser has WAAAAYYY too little ammunition, in my opinion) although it shines above basically any other first person shooter made. Ever.

@Spartan229 Is it a hallucination or is that Cat the first test subject of the Pendulum project? I thought it was the the latter.

The only real flaw i felt the game had was that it falls into the trap of a lot of games of its type, first person shoots based around a story and there is nothing but playing through the story to game, but it did have 2 endings. there was no multilayer but its just not that type of game and its better in not have it. It was one of my top five games on the xbox, my second favorite after morrowind and then followed by halo 1 and 2. i do feel that the game had some untapped potential though

What fucking pissed me off was that everybody was like, "Wow, it looks pretty shitty." Yet they didn't play it for the story or the suspense, which BLEW ME AWAY. The most under-rated Xbox game every created...

i beat this game on every difficulty, and no matter how many times i played it i still get chills meeting the stealth t'lan and when Alex gets killed in front of me, this game was my absolute favorite of all time

There's a part in the game where you enter this facility and they explain what's going on and why they brought you here, you then look at this mirror while hallucinating. At the time I played this game, I looked EXACTLY how he looked in the mirror, facial hair and all. It freaked me the hell out.
I even looked at my Xbox thinking it might have some kind of camera that does a facial recognition thing, but it was just coincidence.

Agreed, this game is an art. It doesn't need a sequel to ruin its intricate structure. It's sort of a closed loop.
-
As much as this game leaves you wanting more when its over, it is probably best that there isn't a follow-up. Maybe if its done by the same people. But the way the story ends...
MEGA HUGE SPOILERS, DON'T READ BELOW IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED BREAKDOWN (ONE OF THE GREATEST GAMES EVER) its pretty much a continuous cycle. If the two characters want to stay together, they will have to keep jumping back and forth through time continuously saving the world and again putting it back in danger.
-
I blame the lack of multiplayer as the reason this game didn't sell well. Such a pity, too...if it had developed into a franchise, there's no doubt in my mind it would have beaten the hell out of Halo.

A hallucination? Or a memory? Let me stop because of spoilers. Such a cool story.

Because the cat you are seeing is a hallucination. The cat at the end is real.
