While climbing Mt. Rainier 7/7/2011 - 7/10/2011, we camped at Ingraham Flats on the second day of the climb. That evening, we witnessed the rescue of an injured climber from the nose of Disappointment Cleaver. Two of our guides hiked up to assist in the rescue.
I'm a helo pilot and fly mountain rescue up here in WA...this one would scare the crap out of me. Hovering at that alt has to put them at the very limit of their power margin. Looks like the winds were in their favor. Awesome footage!

Second one out is my friend Chris, one of the climbing rangers. He had a busy summer up there.

Killer capture! I shot video of this Chinook picking up the Rangers at Muir. I wondered why the rescue was taking so long on your side of the Gap....now I know. NICE!
