QR codes

are graphic barcodes that anyone can print.

They're codes that can be read by devices

that are "smart objects", meaning

smartphones such as

iPhone or Android...

The camera in these devices

scans an image of this code,

providing access to a Web page

that displays content about the object,

space or place associated with this code.

For instance, you can have an extramural experience

at the McCord Museum, which has an exhibit of exterior panels

with QR codes that provide

information about the exhibit, entitled "After Notman,"

outside the Museum.
