I've seen this before at the "Traces du Sacre" Exhibit in Paris three years ago, and before that, I think. This video has two curious voiceovers and I like them, but I don't know if there is any factual connection to Smithson. One connects this spiral jetty to the spiral nebula to which our sun is connected, isn't it? I drifted into double-vision whilst listening to the soporific narrator.

Thank you for posting. I will use this in my Art Appreciation Class. Our college doesn't really have videos on Conceptual Art. I have collected my own and supplement with youtube. Thanks to your generosity, people can go back in time and view this. Many are, as the comments on this page indicate, not oriented to art of their own time. It is easy to criticize and reject, but not so easy to ask questions and search out meaning. The best art is definitely not for everyone.
