ESM Pilatus PC-21, AWESOME 73" Electric RC Plane - First 3 flights

This is a video of the first three flights on my new ESM Pilatus PC-21 RC aircraft, sold by www.vqwarbirds.com. This is a model of the Swiss turboprop plane that is used to train new Jet Pilots. Information on the full-sized plane can be found at http://www.pilatus-aircraft.com.

The first flight is with the electric motor only, and the second & third flights were with a custom sound system that I designed for it to simulate the sound of a turboprop engine spinning up for taxi, take-off, & landings. It's audible in the air as well during fly-bys.

I've installed pilots (not included with plane) and can make their heads turn with servos by using both a slider and rudder control on my transmitter.

This plane flies amazingly well, and is truly elegant and beautiful. www.vqwarbirds.com is a reseller of ESM airplanes, and provided really great customer service when ordering this plane.

what sound system do U use?

@tomrx10 It's a custom setup. No speakers or sound module, just a small internal EDF blowing air through 7 whistles. Works pretty well, and is light.

@flyr602 This is a MUCH larger plane than the Hobby-Lobby one. This one is nearly 90 inches long and is flying on 12 cells, 5000mah.

Hello magnificent and beautiful plane, the electric motor is a correct decision, the noise of a gasoline engine would eclipse the flight of this nice plane.

Hello mr. What type of prop do you have on your pc-21? i have 2 of same type but i fly with 10s lipo on it an the first mod 18x12 prop. The other im not finish with i wil order from ramoses.de , 5 blade vario i think :) Nice plane mr :)

Bl**dy music spoils the sound of the plane. If I want music I'll turn my radio on!!!! Otherwise it's a nice video.

great flying and great video but man, what's up with the music? the sound of your gorgeous aircraft is drowned by it.
