  • Hi, is this MIG, TIG or gas welding?

  • @smhorse MIG.

  • im going to ask a stupid question and i hope i get an answer here goes:

1- is it hard to remove a vinyl top?

    2-how do you do it?

3-after buffing out scratches and dings on the metal underneath, can it be painted to match the body color?

4-ive wokred on more modern day cars than classics, so im still learning

    thanx.

  • it's not hard to remove a vinyl top from a car but it is going to take a little more than buffing out scratches. dings and painting. There are holes in the sheet metal for the clips that hold the vinyl top molding and many of the roofs on the vinyl top cars aren't as nice as your going to want it so yeah it's not hard but there's some work involved in turning a vinyl top car into one without I'm doing it on my car.

  • we will be watching, very interesting.

  • thanks, Dave.
