I really wish I could see reruns of Guiding Light from the years 1984 through 1989. Those stories were awesome.

Carrie Nye portrayed Susan Piper and Carrie Carruthers. Maryanne was the niece she murdered. Interestingly enough that storyline was an exact duplicate of the Lake Elizabeth story that played out right before the Susan Piper storyline that killed Hillary Bauer. I remember it because Guiding Light's stories between 1983 and 1985 are my favorite in all soap history. As another commenter said, those were the glory days of GL.

I agree. There are so many episodes that only aired ONCE. I think they need to release GL on DVD by year.
