The e-mail addresses given for them are:

The e-mail I sent to "eric" and omega on 31 October and again on 9 November was:
"I note that you broadcast shows by Peter Popoff Ministries, (PPM), in the UK on Sky Channel 590.
You may be aware that PPM was the subject of a complaint to Ofcom (the regulatory body charged with overseeing broadcasts in the UK) a few years ago.
Ofcom determined that the content of the program breached several sections of the Code for Broadcasters. A copy of their decision can be found here:
http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/enforcement/broadcast-bulletins/obb113/
The PPM program that you broadcast is effectively the same as that which was considered by Ofcom 2 years ago, namely:
- it is hosted by Peter Popoff, a known conman and charlatan
- it offers the same product, "miracle spring water"
- it uses testimonials to convince the audience of the efficacy of the product
- it provides no evidence to support the claims made
I have the following questions for you.
1. Could you please explain why you are broadcasting a program which would not by allowed to be broadcast by Ofcom?
2. Could you explain why you are broadcasting a program produced by a know conman?
3. Could you explain why you have done nothing about this matter despite it being reported to you several months ago?
4. Could you tell me what, if anything, you intend to do about this program?
5. If you intend to continue to allow this program to be broadcast could you please justify your position?
If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours,"

I have had no response.

The Icelandic Ministry of Education:

The e-mail address for the Broadcasting Licensing Agency (Iceland):
utvarpsrettarnefnd@utvarpsrettarnefnd.is

The e-mail I sent to them on 3 November:
"I understand that you are responsible for the granting of a licence to Omega/The Gospel Channel.
Are you aware that Omega broadcast programmes produced by Peter Popoff Ministries, ("PPM").
PPM is run by Peter Popoff.
Peter Popoff is a know conman and fraudster.
As a result of a complaint to Ofcom (the regulatory body in the UK) his programmes were banned from the UK.
Omega is broadcasting in the UK on Sky Channel 590. It show PPM programmes every day.
Could you explain what criteria you use to determine whether a broadcasting licence should be granted?
Could you tell me what checks you make on organisations that you have granted a licence to?
Will you please consider whether Omega should be allowed to broadcast programmes produced by PPM?
Will you please consider whether Omega should continue to have a licence to broadcast?
Can you explain how I can make an official complaint about Omega? Who do I complain to? What are their contact details? What information would be required? How do I challenge the granting of a licence to Omega?
If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours,"

I have received no response.

The e-mail address of Jeremy Darroch, CEO, Sky:
jeremy.darroch@bskyb.com

Limitations of how much youtube allow to be written in the description prevent me from giving further details of the e-mails I sent.

The Minister for Broadcasting (UK), Jeremy Hunt:
http://www.jeremyhunt.org/
His e-mail address:
huntj@parliament.uk
I sent e-mails to him on 29 October and 8 November.

I am not optimistic that any e-mails will get a response but you never know. If enough people do it then we may be surprised. The last video I made on Popoff did get a response, in that it featured on an Icelandic news channel:
http://www.dv.is/frettir/2010/10/29/omega-sendir-ut-thaetti-sjonvarpsloddara-...

If you do send an e-mail, and you do get a response, then please let me know.

  • Now, if we could just get the FCC to shut down Popoff, and all those faith healing shows in the US for the that same reason...

  • Jeremy Hunt is not worth contacting. He is a work-shy self promoting narcissistic politician. All he needs to do is pick up the phone, for goodness sake, and talk to the minister in Iceland. Too much bother for him, apparently. On the other hand, he's wasting taxpayers money by paying an army of underlings to issue standard letters to me and everybody else who complains about Popoff. At this point, I would say that Jeremy Hunt is as guilty as Popoff. He won't lift a finger, so I will point one.

  • More like Peter Jerkoff, amirite?

  • @tomson600 hope you loose your delusion as well.

  • oh look it's shanedk, the coward that's afraid to debate economics

  • @paspax That isn't what linguists say. They say it was due to confusion among the less-than-literate over the letters "u" and "v." So they pronounced it "lievtenant," which became "leftenant."

  • @shanedk

lef-tennant is the correct pronunciation because the word lieutenant is derived from French.

Wherever there are differences between American English & proper Queens English, it's the American way which is the 'variant'

  • I saw this db Popoff at like 4am or whatever on tv last night and was thoroughly disgusted. There was another guy just like him on before or after him who was selling something called "No Evil Oil" which is supposed to be a sort of "blood of jesus" concoction. Healing powers and all that i suppose just like the miracle water...I swear it seems like early morning tv has a scams hour.

  • @themsfightinwoids I never did check if the other end got the envelop or not... now that you mention it. Guess i need to do some testing too
