East Providence firefighters were called to 260 Boyd Ave around 3am on Sunday, October 2nd, 2011. Soon after arrival, a second alarm was called as firefighters found heavy fire on the second floor of the large apartment complex type structure. Scanner reports indicate that an occupant was rescued from the balcony of one of the units involved. Several apartment units were affected and heavy black smoke could be seen pouring from at least 5 separate apartment units. Third and fourth alarms were eventually called as heavy flames began showing from the south side of the building. The Providence Journal reports that 4 firefighters were transported from the scene along with several residents although none of the injuries were serious.
I have in depth pictures and videos of inside all those apartments that were involved
