  • Thanks Tomo. Any time you want, I teach on Skype. It is the same as being in person, and you get a video file to practice with at the end of the lesson. Most people like it better.

  • Very Leon Redbone of you, sir! I love to listen to you for the diversity of your styles. You've got jazz, thumb picking, dixie land, and the Uke! Holy Cow! You are clean as a whistle and you play to the musical score, not to sjow off every machine gun run you know. Like Chet.

I started on the Uke when I was a little kid. You transend from guitar player to guitar thinker. Love your stuff.

  • @oldtimtoad I had a little banjo uke from my grandmother, and my dad's guitar. I also got a 5 string banjo and worked with that a lot, so I never could decide what I liked best.

Chet, Django, Les Paul, Merle, Johnny Smith, Jimmy Bryant, Nato Lima, Eddie Lang, you name it. It was all school. Now I just have to decide what I want to do.

  • Does anyone has notes of it?

  • @eehuump No, sorry. We change it every time.

  • never heard of Lang doubling 'cello.although i believe he could and did play violin.

  • Hi Maxie.

  • spirit of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli live on in these guys.

  • Great!! My daughter Rebecca sure has a talented cello teacher!

  • Thats great great stuff. I just love that.

  • hey, max: DINAH is finah...

  • I wish you were on this part of the world, I would take lessons from you in a heartbeat. Your depth and versatility is mind boggling.

  • When I said "like Chet" I mean he did not over do it, either. Many of his great works are very plain and clean. When he wanted to show off, he wrote his own stuff. All I can shoot for is to be clean. My fingers are stubby, and my thumb is useless for bar chords (Merle). But rather then stomp my guitar into firewood, after I hear guys like you, I want to find another song to work on. Best wishes for your continued success.
