@jacquelineveronique While I admire your passion (you are supposedly free in this country to say whatever you like), your thoughts on the 2nd amendment are completely off-base because you have no grasp on the true issues at hand. Guns are not the problem, criminals are. We have a legal system in this state (California) that loves to go easy on crime and hard on law-abiding citizens, which is the cowards way.

@jacquelineveronique - I am an NRA member (apparently a racist according to your blog statements...whatever...) and I can tell you that taking the guns from my hands will not prevent criminals in any way from getting their hands on guns, in this state or anywhere in the world.

@jacquelineveronique - I AM NOT WILLING, EVER, TO GIVE UP MY FREEDOMS BECAUSE THERE ARE THOSE OUT THERE WHO CHOOSE TO EXPLOIT THEM! I will be free to defend myself and family against tyranny in government just as you will be able to speak freely in places such as this as long as my rifle is in my hands, and you have the freedom to do the same, should you choose.

@jacquelineveronique - Like it or not, this country was "freed" by guns and the only way it will remain so is for these weapons to remain in our hands. It is the only true balance of power between the People and a greedy, corrupt, out-of-control government. You don't believe that government has gotten way out of hand (?), look around you...if you're still not seeing it, then you're only another part to the problem. Apply a path of truth to that passion of yours!

I think this is the most stupid thing I have ever heard in my life. I am a DEM that holds a CCW in four states. I dont think anyone has ever seen the firearm I carry or been out of the holster in public, but putting a ban on firearms was never Obama's plans. Just having some extra procautions taken to make sure that FFL dealers are legally selling there weapons to people that are allowed by law to own them!

I work in a prison if you think that hands feet, knives, bats and lead pipes are not lethal weapons then you are watching to much television, you need to change what is in mens hearts. By taking away my gun you are taking away my ability to protect my four year old son and my wife and that is the same as you killing them. By the way that criminal used guns that were illegal in Kalifornia for about 20 years now.

56 million UNARMED people were killed by there governments in this last century by governments that were supposed to protect them. These government bad guys were elected by the people. Why would you wish this on the american people, people who misuse guns should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Any man who is wanting the police or the federal government to protect his family in derelection of duty to himself, his family and his country.

This is exactly why we need to get rid of the 2nd amendment. Police officers who try to keep us save are killed by guns every single day. Fuck the NRA, fuck the Founding Father who made this possible by writing 2nd amendment, and fuck the guns.
Oakland is only 4 miles from me and I go there 2 times a week since a friend lives in Oakland. Nice huh, the 2nd amendment ?

Ron paul? We needed Fred Thompson, we got McCain and now we are suffering for it. But could you imagine ron Paul going up against Obama? It would have been even more of a joke than what the mccain campaign did.
