Collage Art for Kids

This series was designed by talented art teacher Donna Hugh (also instructor in "Art Lessons for Children" and "Drawing Lessons for Beginners" series) to give the aspiring artist instruction in how to select and position various materials and objects in order to create pleasing, original collage compositions. Each of the four volumes in this series contains step-by-step lessons.

"Mixed Media Collage"
In lesson one, Donna creates a "Fruit Bowl Collage" by using watercolors to paint simple backgrounds from which she cuts a tablecloth and various fruits. In her second lesson, Donna creates a "Snowy Village Collage" with materials such as cut paper, bits of cotton, and a twig that resembles a tree. Using a crayon, she adds details to the buildings in her snowy village.
