Make all handguns/Assault Rifles illegal (excluding police/military personnel)
Ever hear of Darfur? They made all handguns/Assault Rifles illegal and guess what? 70,000 unarmed citizens were killed, and thousand more were raped and tortured by, guess who? police/military personnel.

Never forget that the military works for the government, not for the people, they are not here to protect us, they are here to protect our political leaders. If the country falls under siege they don't rush to the suburbs, they rush to parliament. You should never implicitly trust anyone that stands to benefit from you and always, always question authority, especially when they want you to give up your fundamental right to freedom.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control and from 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

@rushthebunker if you want a good example of how gun control doesn't work just look at my state California. we have some of the strictest gun control laws and our violent crime rate is one of the highest in the country. shitheads like this guy only serve to aid the UN in coming closer to there greatest desire, global totalitarian control over an ignorant unarmed society.

banning guns because a few people mis use them would be like confiscating YOUR computer because someone somewhere in the world looked at child pornography on a computer once. in order for the govt to take property...ANY property they need to issue a warrant SPECIFICALLY describing the place or property to be seized. with oath or affirmation and a signed affidavid by a judge. you cant just blanket ban firearms. besides why would you want to? its the ONE industry that is still strong

also your draconian suggestions are a BLATANT violation of the 2nd 4th 5th 6th 7th and 8th amendments. if what you suggest gets passed into law it will mean a civil war. there are 90 million gun owners and only 2.5 million in the military. even if they were recalled world wide to put down the "revolt" half of them would join the "rebellion" in defence of the constitution that each and every one of them swore an oath to protect. you cant punish someone for someone elses crime that is stupid
-
also you say "assault weapon ban" the military defines an "assault rifle as a SELECT fire rifle utilizing mid calibur rifle amunition" that is the MILITARY definition of an assault rifle. where "select" fire means its capable of switching from semi auto to full auto at the flip of a switch. and those weapons are effectively already banned from civilian use. so an AR-15 would not be an assault rifle because it is not capable of shooting full auto
your delusional, the facts state that your "plan" would increase crime.

Any government that does not trust it's citizens to own weapons cannot itself be trusted. If the citizens cannot defend themselves from tyranny, then what would prevent a tryant from taking over?
Atrixium 3 years ago
Clearly citizen aren't responsible enough to own them, clearly statistics shows... Problem pin-pointed.... Solution stricter gun laws. Look i'm not saying lets disarm our military men and the police, because they are the ones put here for preventive measures, which is to protect us from foreign as well as domestic situations.
