  • TECHNICALLY it's "demon". But after years of people saying it like retards, we have "day-mon".

Do you say "ay-ther" for aether? What about "encyclo-pay-dia"? Nope. But you're all gonna go on saying "day-mon" and there's nothing I can do about it.

In the same way that "data" is pronounced "day-ta", but fuck all if you see that anymore either. That one's Hollywood's fault.

  • I have analyzed all of the words he pronounces and have come to this conclusion:

Pronunciation Book is in his early 20s and studying philosophy at some American university. He is a pompous fellow who believes that he's all that and a bag of chips, and to top it all off, he's a Weaboo.

  • @SolarisBlitz LOL true so true :)

  • @Karanime Calm the fuck down. ಠ_ಠ

  • @narutokage777 I'm German. I know that it is the equivalent. :) But this word ist not German and therefore has to be pronounced like an American. For English people, this is right.

  • @42JohnnySmith "ae" may stand for "ä" for wich I dont know an equivalent in English and is used, when the letter "ä" can't be used but if its on purpose then the letters "a" and "e" are pronounced separately like the "oe" in "Goethe". Pronouncing it like the English word "demon" is simply wrong.

  • The author of 'The Northern Lights' off which the film 'The Golden Compass' was based, wrote 'Daemon' in the book. It was pronounced 'dee-mon' in the movie, and the author of the book actually wrote that it was to be pronounced as 'dee-mon'.

    This is correct.

  • @Karanime Day-mon digivolve into....

  • da-re-mon.. DA RE MON~

  • @Karanime I mean, I remember saying "Great Aether" from SSBB as GR8 AY-THER.

  • I meant pronunciation.
