main floor, GG in the back.. not too close but 2 seats infront of me were empty so I could easily see and capture videos and photos. and I was also amazed by the acoustics. it was my second time at civic opera . I also went to Bjork's live on saturday and I was sitting in main floor center, 10th row. it was GREAT ...
Main Floor Right, Row J, right aisle seat, so about 10 rows out from the stage. Beautiful seat and I was absolutely amazed by the acoustics in the room, first time at the Civic Opera House. Only thing that was just a bit difficult for me to see was when he would sit at the piano, and that more of the vertical angle's fault than the horizontal. You?
Also, it would be unbelievable if someone got a recording of "Cannonball" from last night. For those not there, the man stepped out from behind the microphone and walked to the edge of the stage with his guitar, then proceeded to belt out the most flawless version of the song I have ever heard, his voice not cracking a bit. Those of you in the area who missed the show, my condolences, it was a wonderful time.
Was there as well. Can't believe you caught his setup to "The Professor", absolutely priceless. Hope somebody caught his intro into "Nine Crimes". Think the collective jaw of the entire theater dropped on that one. Also, the song he transitioned into and the transition itself from "Amie" were amazing. Was that a new song? I haven't seen any footage or heard any recording of it prior to last night.
amie went into Sex Change at the end. awesome.
