  • @smcgregor72 Actually the term ashi means "foot," and the term barai means "sweep," so ashi barai is the correct term for the foot sweep. I also disagree on the technique here. If you look closely, he does perform a sweep. Notice in the slo mo which part of the foot makes contact. It's the arch of the foot, as is done with a sweep, not the top portion of the foot as done with a roundhouse. Feel free to disagree, of course.

    Foi bem aplicada a força, pura força, quase quebra o femur do competidor.

    Houve sim uma grave falha de equilíbrio no zenkutso dachi do karateca atingido, foi isso que permitiu a conclusão do ponto.

    O ashi barai correto é mais técnica que força, ela é uma técnica mais bem trabalhada no judô e nõ no karate.
