the first 3 cords in the beginning of the song are Gm, D and C but the mando is a half step tuned down

@SgtDragan There isn't one shot of him with a mando. They are the same tuning and it surely sounds like a mando but i wonder.. Ive only seen live footage of PPJ playing either a banjo, guitar or fiddle, never a mandolin. I really think he's flat picking a fiddle there... fuckin amazing none the less. Actually Im going to test it next jam session, our front man plays mando and fiddle. See if it can't sound like that. I'm just interested...
