Pretty much every Deriugina gymnast reminds you of one before. Irina D is either unable or unwilling to work to get a gymnast to fashion her own style, so the result is just deriving the gymnast's style from a Ukrainian gymnast before her. The only exceptions are the exceptionally talented--Bessonova and Godunko. It's up to the gymnast to get the best out of Deriugina because Deriugina is not the coach to get the best out of the gymnast, unfortunately.
