Migrants crossing the Sahara - 12 Jul 08

Heads of state and government from countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea will meet in Paris to launch the Mediterranean Union project.

On the top of the agenda is illegal immigration.

Al Jazeera's Casey Kauffman travelled to the northeast of Mali and met a group of migrants on the first leg of their journey across the Sahara.

your African state owe you the education ,health ,housing and family planning ,not Europeans we already give your countries aids...you still need more?

any of Eu state have family planing for ex; one or tow children not have as-many if you can and let state take care of you that is not been responsible.

you Arabs and African getting here not helping us or our economy..you're a burden to us..we have more taxes to care for the once here already.

What about "illegal immigrants"? Most nations of the world were formed by "immigrants" invading, enslaving and decimating the original native citizens of the land? In the case of Europe, besides wipping out the origibnal native Gypsies, do you know how USA, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Canada, Australia, New Zealand,,,etc,,, were formed? None of invaders had VISAS from the natives. Had they? Then, what makes you legal than the latest immigrants?

It's very comical to see all these Kangaroos congregating in one court, in the name of Mediterranean Union, with their former masters blessing in their former masters palace, while buying arms to decimate each other from the same former masters. The region is served better with their own demise than creating another false alliance for swapping dishes does NOT make a spoiled stew taste any better. The people of the region will survive just like they survived for centuries and over came all odds.
