This video helped so much .. me and my brother just fixed my sony bravia 52 in around 1-2hours .. somthing wrong with one off the tabs .. and know it is perfect again .. thank you so much

i've fixed similar problems on 3 different TVs, but instead of hard-ish rubber pads, i've use very soft flat foam pad strips. I think what i used was intended to seal doors (what you'd stick into the frame of a door to close the gaps).
still working fine after well over a year.

I fixed the tv then another tab seemed to have a burnt hole in it. Now the tv turns on then turns right off.

i'm at the step in the video but now the TV wont turn on. one of the tabs is burnt through.

@fusheeny - how about you guys at sony recall this or offer some kind of discount on another.. I hate when a company doesnt own up to the problem.

It took me forever to get the damn thing open, but after that i pressed on that tab thing and like magic it fixed the picture. Thanks a lot guy i really appreciate it!

this thing works maybe sony should take note and get these tv fix you pay so much four these tv to see that it so easy to fix shame on you sony.

this is not a permanent fix...the right way is too replace panel..of course not cost effective .but this fix buys some time only...authorized sony servicer..

Pushing the tabs with the card fixed the problem in your video, but how do you fix it permanently?
