@WarriorMisanthrope In those days, most southern gung fu schools were involved with the triad in one way or another. The Sing "勝" is directly connected to and used by the Triad even till this day. For example, certain tongs carry the sing name like Hop Sing, Wo Sing, etc. . Anyways, i'm sorry brother. you'll see what i mean in my book if you choose to pick it up when its complete. sorry to bother you

@WarriorMisanthrope Hey brother, no disrespect intended. Yes, you are Hung Sing, but so am i and although they sound alike our two hung sing's are completely different. In CLF there are 5 sings in CLF. Great Sage (洪聖) Chan Heung lineage - Hung Victory/Glorious Victory (洪勝/鴻勝) Jeung Hung Sing lineage - Strong or Heroic Victory (雄勝) - Koon Pak lineage - Northern Victory ( 北勝) Tam Sam lineage. Now, the major connection here is the word SING in all the names except for Chan Heung.

What is the music in this video?

@SuperVegettoV3 Hi there,
The song is called "Naam Yi Dong Ji Keung" in Cantonese, or "Nan Er Dang Zi Qiang" in Mandarin. In Chinese it's written 男兒當自強, and they often translate it in English as "A Man of Determination".
I'm not sure who the original artist is, but there are various versions of the song, including one in Mandarin by Jackie Chan himself.
Hope this helps, sorry for the late reply but I don't check YouTube much anymore!

I'm curious my self. Why would a Chan Family branch use a name more connected to the Fut San Hung Sing Kwoon than it is a Chan Fam branch?

@sifufrank As ignorant as I consider myself in Choy Lee Fut lineages, I am pretty sure we're not considered a Chan Family branch. We're Hung Sing branch from Kingmui-Sunwui. My teacher studied CLF under Pan Guo Man/Pun Kwok Mun (潘国满), a student of Chan Yu Chi. :)

@clffreak Hey there, sorry for the late reply!! I read this comment while on holiday and completely forgot to reply.
According to a "CLF Forms database" on the net, it's roughly translated as "Cross Pattern of Continuing Fighting Hand Form". Although I've had people translate it in various other similar ways.
Thanks for your comment, though. I don't even know why this video's still up, but I enjoyed watching it again to realize I've actually made progress since then!!
