The Springfield Armory XD is a full sized duty pistol designed for civilian and law enforcement use. Chambered for the 9mm Luger cartridge, this gun features a 16 round magazine capacity. In this GunTec presentation Larry Potterfield, Founder of MidwayUSA, tests the Springfield XD to see how it performs as a concealed carry firearm in three important areas.

  • @eggsandwich8885 not if he's armed too.

  • @TheIZI6 I thought Springfield bought the designs and rights to produce from Croatia.

  • @Berelore Yeah, not to mention you might go to prison. It's kinda hard to claim self-defense when the assailant is 50 yards away. Lol!

  • @smartguy104

Yea but this is a personal defense scale most of that happens within 10ft. if you are shooting a personal defense situation at 50 yards with a pistol something is very very wrong and you should probably be running not shooting.

  • Why nobody mention who is designer?

Because it is made in Croatia. And don't forget that.

  • @bigfootgunot I think there going buy muzzle energy alone in there ranking system. It is true 9mm+p 124 grain loads hit harder then 230 grain standard pressure 45 loads at muzzle but if you jump out to 50 yards the 9mm loses quite a bit of velocity and energy while the heavier bullet doesn't. A 230 grain 45 acp hit with about 325-350 ft lbs at 50 yards. while 9mm luger nato ball loads( a little hotter then standard pressure) hit with a 290-310 ft lbs depending on barrel length.

  • @bigfootgunot Ya i noticed that too. But that is the "flying ash tray" 230 grain bullet.

    Thank god I use 185 grain +P .45acp!!

  • 22.lr get it done

  • pause at 1:06 and you will see that theyve ranked the 9mm about the same as the .45 acp..........FAIL!!

  • he's like a well armed mr. rogers.
