www.sporting-scene.com. Barry Wilcox and Edward Martin look at the wide variety of shooting available to the rough game shooter. Rough shooting over dogs is as near as you can get to shooting natural and wild game, whether on your own or with a group of like minded friends, after all, any pleasure is better shared. But working over your dog in a wild rough setting as a partnership is as near as you can get in the modern world to the hunter gatherer, you make the most of the natural
habitat and what is available from the countryside.
Informal days rough shooting with an experienced friend teaches the new comer to field sport, a wealth of knowledge, gun safety and safety of shooting in a wide variation of situations that would not be encountered by formal shooting, natural habitat of the game, flight patterns of natural game
appreciation of the countryside and most of all the pleasure of shooting.
self praise is no honour.

I enjoy watching British or European style hunting. It is so different then hunting here in the States. Great dog work, too.
