Flying the new Savannah MXP740, the European sister of the CH701, completing a rigorous programme of testing and inspecting, trying out different configurations for Short Takeoff and Landing capabilities. Basically - having a lot of fun flying around farmstrips in Kent and taking friends up. The chinook in the beginning shot was actually buzzing the farmstrip right before one of the takeoffs - we'll try to catch up with it next time to get some cool footage. Let the voyages begin ... April 09.
I flew one today ( first time i had ever flown a plane) it was really nice had smooth controls and was very easy to fly. the only difference is the one i flew had a three bladed prop

Can't fly anywhere in the US, after 9/11 the whole country becomes a nanny state, locking down EVERYTHING.

@carbondragon6 Leave this video alone, its good. So he hasn't got all the details right, but he does love flying, and thats what its all about, right?

its not the slowest plane in the world, try Bill Motes Dragonfly, 18 mph in ground effect at sea level.
Also have had a slow flying contest with a 701 with a 582 and a Dragonfly, the 701 kept stalling while the Dragonfly could easily slow a further 5 to 7 mph.
Also the hang glide piolts dont like being towed with the 701 as they say it is too fast.
Experience speaks heaps.
