@JayandJenn07 actually the LQ4 would be an even better choice for high horsepower and boosted applications due to lower compression pistons. LQ9's are great for N/A builds though!

gm doesnt offer the 6.0 in new trucks 2011 and up ....only the 6.2 now the same engine as the escalades,denalis

@JayandJenn07 yep the 5.7 and 5.0 went out the door like 8 yrs ago now its 4.8,5.3 or 6.0ls

brian u need to get dual QTP electric cutouts. they will bolt right up to urs and they have a toggle switch so no more laying under the truck

Who the hell still thinks the new gm's are 5.7? That motor has been long gone... the truck 6.0 (lq9) block is the best for any kinda high horse power mods due to the size of the bore and cast iron block. Very very strong and most desirable for stroker kits.
