Concordia University Wisconsin is perched on 2,700 feet of beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline atop a 130-foot high bluff in Mequon, Wisconsin. But it had a serious problem: every year 20,000 tons of its campus was eroding into Lake Michigan. The extreme coastal erosion was threatening the future of the university and had created a hazardous, near-vertical bluff and an inaccessible shoreline. Led by SmithGroupJJR, an innovative shoreline stabilization and restoration project has totally transformed the shoreline and created a tremendous asset for the university. Visit smithgroupjjr.com
